Kustom Kans – Return & Refund Policy
1. Custom‑Etched Items Are Final Sale
At Kustom Kans we take pride in delivering high‑quality custom‑etched items made to your exact specifications. Because each piece is uniquely tailored to your submission (design, image, placement, text, etc.), all sales of custom‑etched items are final once production begins.
2. Customer Responsibility / Pre‑Approval
It is your responsibility to carefully check and approve all design details, submitted files, text spellings, dates, alignment and placement before we begin the etching process. Once you click “Approve” (or we receive your final submission), production starts and modifications or returns cannot be accepted.
3. Exceptions – Our Mistake or Defect
If your item arrives and there is a clear defect in materials or workmanship, or if we etched something differently than what was approved, please contact us within 7 days of receipt with your order number, photo of the issue, and a description of what is wrong. We will review the case. If we determine the fault is ours, we will at our discretion either:
- Replace the item free of charge, or
- Re‑etch the approved design on a replacement item, provided a suitable replacement substrate is available.
Note: This exception does not apply to:
- Spelling, punctuation, capitalization, date or text errors that were in your submitted design or that you approved.
- Color, finish or appearance variations inherent to the substrate or etching process (which we disclose in our material descriptions),
- Normal wear, abrasion, or misuse of the item after delivery.
4. Non‑Custom / Blank Items
For any items purchased without custom etching or personalization, we may offer returns or exchanges within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is in new, unused condition and in the original packaging. Shipping charges are non‑refundable unless the return is due to our error.
5. Shipping / Return Costs
When a replacement is approved under section 3 (our mistake/defect), we will cover shipping from our door to yours. Return shipping for the original item may be required at our discretion. For non‑custom or blank item returns (section 4), you (the customer) are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to our error.
6. Policy Changes
Kustom Kans reserves the right to update or amend this policy at any time. The current version will always appear on our website.
